I was watching Welsh Viking's new episode on YouTube last night (I am a Patron of his) and decided it'd be good to mention something here.
I AM NOT A RESOURCE.
My goal here is to inspire study and reading, let you know where you can get stuff, maybe how much stuff costs, what I do, what members of Timberhaven does... but I don't want anything ever on this blog to be construed as "research". I am not an expert, I am not even an official Authenticity Officer in Vikings North America (I'm kind of an acting one in Timberhaven as we do not have an official AO here in Portland).
Actually, I don't even call what I have done "research". I've read other people's research. I follow advice of some chosen reenactors that I respect. I've done a little reading and that's developed some opinions, some are in line with others, some are not in line (and I have heard all about it online).
